If you can read this, is the moon really made of cheese? Did we make it to the moon? Is Rocket Man the national anthem of the moon? I guess you can’t really answer any of these for me, but just know that I am enjoying the thought of your coming upon my works and I’m excited for you to embark on the adventure. I truly hope you find enjoyment in them.
My name is Zachary Chopchinski. I’m a USA Today Bestselling author of science fiction, portal fantasy, and all-around sarcasm and explosions. So, naturally, when I was offered the chance to send my books where others have never been before, I had to take the chance and…shoot for the moon (see what I did there?). I am very honored and excited to be part of this project put together by Dr. Susan Kaye Quinn.
In my collection, I have included some of my own work, as well as some amazing books from dear friends. Each of the items chosen of my own holds an important place in my heart and I could think of no other way of honoring them than sending them into the abyss.
The primary file I have included is the box set of my primary work, The Hall of Doors series. This series is a culmination of my growth as an author and I think it represents me as an author. I chose to include this series because the characters use a portal to visit different planets. I believe that as a science fiction author, the idea of having my characters actually go to the moon is the best it can get. I also chose to include a short story from this series called The Stranger and The Mask of Plagues. My books also have some illustrations which were done by Alex Clark. I included several family photos of myself, my lovely wife Layla, our daughter Lydia-Renee, and my grandmother Joan so that they may join me and my work in space.
