#42 Rebecca Rode

It didn’t take long for me to decide what to send to the moon. I have a space opera series called Ember in Space. So I sent Ember in Space . . . into space. It was always meant to be, I think. The payload includes all three books in the series: Flicker, Flare, and Flame.

Since there was still space (lol), I also added my newest dystopian novel, Numbers Ascending. Given the title, I thought it appropriate.

And since I still had room after that, I added a little biography. This biography includes a little about me, my husband, and our five children, as well as some of the things we love.

Finally, I included the middle grade fantasy novel my daughter published at age twelve called Witch’s Peak. As a proud mother, it’s a pleasure to be given the opportunity to immortalize my daughter’s words to inspire future generations.

TV, movies, video games—they’re all fun, but books and words extend past lifetimes and generations and into new millennia. I’m both thrilled and humbled that my fiction may transcend even that.
