I wanted to send a snapshot of futuristic sci-fi stories for our future anthropologists to see how corporations and media, respectively, have influenced our lives. Also, how I imagined it would impact our lives in the future. At first, I was only going to send Cimmerian City. As that ended on a somewhat dark note, I figured the continuation, A Feast of Shadows, featured a dash of more action and hope and would be a great bookend to the intro story.

I also submitted my short novelette, City of Simplicity, to further acknowledge the human spirit, companionship, and love. Thus ending on the most hopeful note of all the stories. I hope whoever finds our stories enjoys the ride and the glimpse into our time! ~ R
