A rag-tag fleet of stories for a Lunar Time Capsule

The stories in the Writers on the Moon lunar time capsule are written by self-published authors from around the world. We hope this snapshot of indie fiction in 2021 will reveal the humanity of today to the readers of tomorrow.

Each of the 125 authors on the official manifest of the Writers on the Moon Lunar Time Capsule chose one book to highlight. But those 125 authors brought along many more writers, screenwriters, and artists… even stowaways! Through anthologies, art collections, even songs and screenplays, well over 1,000 artists from around the world are represented on the project. #1 Susan Kaye Quinn

A rocket scientist turned SF author, Sue now uses her PhD to invent cool stuff in books. She writes hopepunk climate-fiction, but her works have rangesd from cyberpunk to steampunk. Her stories have been optioned for Virtual Reality, translated into German and French, and published in short-fiction zines.

#2 Julien Morgan

A French author, Julien is convinced reality is for people who can’t face science fiction. He has written a number of stories that have never earned him any significant award, or peer recognition for that matter, but his looks definitely redeem him.

#3 Jaden Wilkes

Jaden Wilkes writes the ideas that keep her up at night. When not typing madly, she’s on the beaches or in the forests of coastal of BC where she works out details of her stories. She feels fortunate so many people believe in her imaginary friends.

#4 Bron Rauk-Mitchell

Bron Rauk-Mitchell, BA, is an Aussie mum of 4, a multi-genre writer, and a creative jack-of-all-trades. An editor and contributing author to several anthologies including SuperHERo Tales (Vols 1 and 2), Bron currently has a stack of WIPs almost as high as their to-read pile.

Born in 1961, Dale’s earliest memories include NASA’s Gemini flights. He received his first library card around the time of Apollo 13. After college, he worked at Multnomah County library 32 years while becoming a fiction writer. He met his future wife LeAnn in high school.

#9 Samuel Peralta

Physicist and storyteller, Samuel Peralta’s fiction has hit the major bestseller lists and his poetry has won awards worldwide. Acclaimed for curating popular short story anthologies and art exhibits, he is also a producer of prize-winning independent film. And he cooks a mean risotto.

#10 Kody Boye

Kody Boye is a young-adult speculative fiction author. His first story, [A] Prom Queen’s Revenge, was published at the age of fourteen. Now in his late twenties, he is writing while attending college at Southern New Hampshire University. He aims to teach creative writing once completed.
