As a Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy author, the idea of sending my books to the Moon evokes a certain sense of romance that I couldn’t ignore. I also happen to be married to a former fighter pilot who dreamed of becoming an astronaut. To this day, he still has his eyes to the cosmos and would jump at the chance to go to space. My books will have to do.
I chose to send my Shifter Hunters Ltd. trilogy because it’s my most popular series (for now). The main character is as different from me as I could make her. As a fan of mysteries, I wanted the series to have a mystery at its core and for the main character to be fun and bad-ass and have the kinds of skills I could only wish for.
Another key piece of my personality is a deep love for the places I consider home or like-home. I grew up outside of New York City and I returned there after years of traveling. I have many happy memories of my time there with my family, my friends, and my husband. During college, I was lucky enough to spend quite a lot of time in Paris—and I’m now a French teacher. Paris remains my favorite city in the world. And after earning a Master’s in International Relations, I worked in Rwanda during the aftermath of the genocide. Rwanda and the surrounding countries where I spent time will forever hold a piece of my heart. As a result, I tend to set my books in such places. The three books of the Shifter Hunters Ltd. trilogy are set in Kenya, Paris, and New York City.
The other book I chose to send to the Moon is the first book in my Paris Harem trilogy, a paranormal reverse harem romance series set in—you guessed it—Paris. It has a beautiful cover and is a fun romp through my favorite city.

My author photo included in my payload was taken at my first book signing. Hosted at Northshire Bookstore in Saratoga Springs, NY, the event included a question-and-answer session and a reading with four other local authors. It was such fun to meet my readers in person and to answer questions about my books.
It is simply mind-blowing to imagine my books—which represent my hard work and dedication, as well as pieces of my personality—on the Moon. I hope that someone like my husband—with stars in their eyes—will someday discover my work and be interested enough to want to learn more.
