Bio:

Ever since finding a copy of The Hero and the Crown in her elementary school library, Bethany Adams has loved fantasy, even subjecting her friends to stories scrawled in notebooks all through high school. Eventually, she decided to publish novels of her own. When not working on her Return of the Elves series, Bethany enjoys reading and playing video games.

Hello,

My name is Bethany Adams. I’ve loved to write stories almost as long as I’ve loved to stare up at the moon. I am so honored to be included in this launch! It’s difficult to imagine that stories written here on Earth in a small Tennessee town will soon reside on the moon—and that someday, generations unknown may open the capsule and see what’s inside.

For my contribution, I included a copy of my first four novels, gathered in The Return of the Elves Collection: Books 1-4. Hey, if someone finds this while stranded on the moon, they need lots of reading material, right?

My books are romantic portal fantasies where characters travel between the elven realm and early 21st century Earth. There are elves, humans, fae, and other creatures out of mythology, all joining together to fight one treacherous prince. The characters from the magical realm sometimes interact with human technology in interesting ways. One of the elven children is enthralled by the idea of space travel. Now he gets to go to the moon!

I’ve also included a copy of my friend and critique partner C.S. Hale’s book, Fall from the Moon. If you’ve read her book, you’ll know why it’s the perfect stowaway. It takes place in the future and begins with Astrid escaping her doomed spaceship and landing on a fantasy-style world. They believe she is the prophesied Moon Princess who fell from their moon. How could I resist sending such a perfect match to our moon?

To anyone who discovers this in the future: I hope you’re reading this from a world more at peace than our own. May the best hopes of my generation be the reality of yours. Actually, I hope you’ve moved beyond those best hopes to greatness currently unimagined.
