Skye Malone writes action-packed fantasy and paranormal romance. A fan of magical books since childhood, they adore stories that pit ordinary characters against extraordinary odds and reveal the strength within. Kathy Hendrickson has always loved romance, history, and westerns. She grew up watching Wagon Train, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Waltons. Kathy’s childhood was spent on a farm in central Illinois, where she learned the value of family, hard work, and developed a “pioneer” spirit. She loves cooking for her friends and family and sharing recipes.
Kathy and her husband have traveled the Oregon Trail from Independence, Missouri to Oregon City. She has followed the twists of the Platte River throughout the trail states. She has seen Chimney Rock, Independence Rock and Courthouse Rock. Kathy has walked the wagon wheel ruts of Ash Hollow made by previous trains over 150 years ago. INFORMATION ON SKYE MALONE’S COVER ARTIST, KARRI KLAWITER
ABOUT KARRI KLAWITER
Karri Klawiter is a self-taught digital artist in West Michigan. She has worked off and on in graphic design for over 20 years, but it wasn’t until 2008 that she picked up her first digital SLR camera and began truly exploring the depth of her field. It wasn’t long before she won her first recognition and photographic award. Her work soon started selling internationally.
If you ask Karri, she doesn’t consider herself a Photographer, but a Digital Artist or Photo Illustrator. She feels her true talent lies within the editing process, where her creativity can truly shine.
In early 2012, Karri broadened her horizons and offered up her services for creating book covers. As her skills grew in photo-manipulation, she was able to create truly custom pieces of art. She now does cover art full time and has become a seasoned, award winning cover artist, but still tries to find time for a bit of photography here and there.
