#93 Ann Omasta
Ann Omasta is a USA Today bestselling author, who began writing romance in 2014 because she believes the world needs more happily ever after endings. Ann followed her dreams and changed careers in her mid-forties to become a full-time author. Since that time, she has published over fifty books.
Ann has been happily married for 22+ years. Her family includes a teenaged daughter and two huge, loving Newfoundland shedding and slobbering monsters… err, dogs. These fur babies were the inspiration behind the sweet romantic comedy novella, Goofy Newfies, which is the featured story she sent to the moon.
How could she not be inspired by those sweet, loving faces?
Many of the characters Ann writes are loosely based on real people, but she always changes the names and a few key details to protect the innocent.
Although she has written some nonfiction books, dabbled in paranormal romance, and branched out into audiobooks, her true passion is writing contemporary romance. From heartwarming and sweet to sizzling off the pages, Omasta loves a good love story.
Ann wanted to include a wide variety of her writing in the payload going to the moon, so she sent sweet romance (The Pet Set Trilogy and The Broke Billionaires Club), romantic comedy beach reads (The Keys to my Diary Series and The Escape Series), small-town romance (Brunswick Bay Harbor Gems), steamy romance (Heartless Hunk, The Davis Twins Saga, Daring Desires, His First Time: Gabe, and Man of the Month Club: January), paranormal romance (Wings on Fire), and nonfiction (Be Your Own Boss, The Ultimate Book of Life Hacks, and Top 10 Tips for Happiness).
When writing, Ann likes to have a mug of English Breakfast tea within reach and a fluffy Newf or two snoring by her side.
She often comes up with plot lines and story ideas while showering or just before falling asleep. She learned her lesson the hard way with the latter, so she sends herself emails to remember those bedtime ideas in the morning.
Ann feels so lucky to get to write and share her stories with the world––and moon! She is delighted and grateful to be included in this Writers on the Moon project.
Happy reading.
